No one in the world wants to hear how it isn't Christmas yet! The the world has been celebrating since Late October, why would we be party poopers as Christians who would declare this still 'the solemn season'? Sing the songs! Join in with the joy and share the love of God. God who came in among what was going on and brought salvation to people who didn't 'get it', who didn't want to know. He came anyway and brought grace and love, truth and hope.
